This would mean his age was wrong on his wedding record to Mary Brown... maybe he lied, maybe James -1873 died in infancy...

With no more children or marriages, it's unlikly we can find out much more. Maybe form some shipping records. He will be on the 1911, 1921 and 1931 census' but theya ren't open for scotland yet. There's a belfast Born James McKenna of the correct age in Barrow In Furness on the 1911 English Census.
